Fill Auto Fluids with Tips from GOAutoPlus.com

As we feel the weather getting crisper in Wisconsin, we get evidence that winter is right around the corner. It is very important to make sure your vehicle is in fighting shape for the upcoming weather changes, but drivers often forget a simple, but vital task – checking vehicle fluid levels. At GOAutoPlus.com, a leading resource for new and used cars in Wisconsin,  we’ve put together a list of vital fluids that drivers should check before the Wisconsin snow starts to hit the ground.

One of the first auto fluids drivers will want to check is the engine oil. If the oil isn’t at the appropriate level and consistency, the vehicle’s engine will be susceptible to overheating. Excessive friction makes the engine work harder than it needs to. Engine oil reduces the friction and allows the engine to operate more smoothly. For oil changing procedures, drivers should consult their service specialist or review their owner’s manual. (more…)

Ford Fans Film Footage for First 2013 Focus Commercial

Thursday, June 28th, 2012

Ford is infamous for its creative marketing and advertising techniques. This time around, the automaker is promoting its all-new 2013 Focus ST by getting fans to shoot footage for the full commercial. At GOAutoPlus.com, a valuable resource for Ford dealers in Wisconsin, we crave innovation and creativity, and Ford is an automaker that never disappoints.

The premier commercial is set to debut on television in the near future; however, the automaker wanted to give online Ford enthusiasts the opportunity to view the commercial first. The ad, filmed entirely by the audience, shows X Games gold medalist Tanner Foust racing the Focus ST against stunt driver Greg Tracy.

Everything about the Focus ST’s promotion and marketing strategy involves viewer participation and input. Ford truly wanted to give its fans the opportunity to share their voices and interact with the brand directly. The video shows different filming styles, quality levels and viewer perspectives. The audience was really in charge of how the ad turned out.

The commercial, though displaying illegal street racing not condoned by Ford or S&L Motors, definitely shows off the 2013 Focus ST’s capabilities. With a 2.0-liter 252-horsepower EcoBoost engine the spritely hatchback takes corners like a champ and maneuvers like a dream. The vehicle is pure athleticism from the styling to the race-worthy performance.

We are home to Ford vehicles at GOAutoPlus.com as well as new and used cars in Wisconsin. Stay updated on the 2013 Ford Focus ST with GOAutoPlus.com and check out our unique Ford inventory online today.

Chevy Mixes Soccer with Spark Plugs as Manchester United’s Official Auto Partner

Chevy Mixes Soccer with Spark Plugs as Manchester United’s Official Auto Partner

Soccer and Chevy fans are about to unite as the automaker announced its plans to sponsor Manchester United, one of the most renowned soccer clubs in the sport. Hoping to expand its global reach, Chevy teamed up with Manchester United, which has one of the largest fan bases worldwide. Our team at GOAutoPlus.com, a trusted resource for Chevy dealers in Wisconsin, looks forward to seeing what the sponsorship brings for Chevy and Manchester United.

As one of the world’s most significant carmakers, Chevy is in a position to expand its presence even further. After announcing that it would not promote its vehicles through Super Bowl ads, the automaker felt it was a smarter, more economical move to partner with the 19-time English soccer winner.

The automaker has signed up for a five-year sponsorship with the soccer club, which could extend longer if both groups see success as a result. With some of the most enthusiastic fans of any athletic team, Manchester United has the opportunity introduce a new, expansive target audience for Chevy.

General Motors representatives have expressed Chevy’s commitment to keeping the soccer club’s supporters in the core of their partnership. Over a span of five years, the team has seen its fan base double. With approximately 659 million fans across the globe, Manchester United has become an icon in the soccer world.

Advertising marked with Chevy’s logo will be shown in the club’s stadium, seats designed specifically for spectators and global marketing overall. The partnership also extends into the development of the Chevrolet China Cup, which will be a part of the club’s 2012 tour. With an increasingly large fan base in Asia, Manchester United and Chevrolet wanted to appeal to their loyal global supporters.

We anticipate the results of the Chevy-Manchester United partnership. At GOAutoPlus.com we offer several new and used cars in Wisconsin as well as a variety of Chevy vehicles in Wisconsin.

Fuel Economy Drives Car Buyers to Sign the Dotted Line

Fuel Economy Drives Car Buyers to Sign the Dotted Line

Fuel Economy Drives Car Buyers to Sign the Dotted Line

As the cost of fuel keeps rising and the economy continues to suffer, drivers are searching for new means of transportation and alternative fuel sources. According to a Consumer Reports survey, people are driving less than ever and are searching for smaller, more efficient vehicles. Our team at GOAutoPlus.com, a trusted resource for new and used cars in Wisconsin, is happy to provide Wisconsin with a variety of fuel-efficient vehicles with over 30 mpg.

The Consumer Reports survey also revealed that 37 percent of consumers said their main consideration for a new car is fuel efficiency, followed very closely by quality, safety, value and performance. Two-thirds of consumers surveyed expect their next car to have an improved fuel economy than their last.

Some of the main reasons the car owners cited for wanting better fuel mileage were gasoline costs, the aspiration to live a more environmentally conscious lifestyle, and the worry of depending on foreign oil. 65 percent of women to 58 percent of men said being more environmentally responsible fueled their decision to transition to a more efficient car.

Survey participants said they were willing to transition to anything from downsized vehicles to hybrids to alternative fuel resources. The survey revealed that younger consumers were more willing to resort to electric cars or vehicles with alternative fuel.

According to a Consumer Reports press release, the federal government is in the process of implementing fuel efficiency standards, which will require auto manufacturers to employ a 54.5-mpg average fuel economy by 2025. The thinking behind that transition will be to offer cleaner, more efficient engines in future car models. By implementing fuel-efficient engines, vehicles may cost more initially, but over time drivers will spend much less on gas while also contributing to a greener environment.

We are anxious to see the changes that occur within the auto industry as a result of drivers’ transition to more fuel-efficient vehicles. For more information on our fuel-efficient vehicles or to calculate fuel savings online, contact GOAutoPlus.com today.

Alabama Gets Over 900 Jobs with Hyundai Sonata, Elantra Production

Alabama Gets Over 900 Jobs with Hyundai Sonata, Elantra Production

Alabama Gets Over 900 Jobs with Hyundai Sonata, Elantra Production

Hyundai recently announced its plans to add a third shift at the Montgomery, AL plant in order to produce additional fleets of Sonata midsize vehicles and Elantra compact cars. Adding another shift to the plant will allow the company to hire around 877 more team members. Our GOAutoPlus.com team awaits new developments for the automaker and looks forward to offering more new and used Hyundai in Wisconsin.

Hyundai explained that it plans to hire more people and create additional jobs this summer. The plant will start to transition in September to make room for the latest shift. Adding the third shift to the Alabama plant will present the automaker with an opportunity to launch over 20,000 more vehicles in 2012.

More Hyundai dealers across the U.S. will be able to expand their inventories. The automaker decided to produce the Sonata and Elantra because they are Hyundai’s most popular vehicles and most widely sold cars in the U.S. In the first part of the year, the automaker sold upwards of 55,000 Sonatas and 44,000 Elantras. Sales were up 6 percent and 8 percent from the previous year, respectively.

Although the automaker looks forward to adding more cars to its inventory, Alabama looks forward to the added employment it will see in the early fall. Hyundai needs to meet its increasing consumer demands and presented Montgomery with an opportunity to create several new jobs for its citizens.

The automaker has struggled to keep up with the continuous demand for its vehicles, and is now taking an opportunity to build cars in the country that demands them the most. Hyundai’s sales are reportedly up by 15 percent since March, and it anticipates that number will continue to grow with additional production.

We pride ourselves on the ability to offer a variety of vehicles in Wisconsin, and GOAutoPlus.com is happy to be a premier resource for Hyundai dealers in Wisconsin.

MINI Reveals John Cooper Works GP Special Edition Concept

A brand new generation of the MINI John Cooper Works GP special edition is in the works, according to MINI. The special edition model is scheduled to go on sale in the latter part of this year with the luxurious amenities MINI is known to offer. We are always looking forward to the latest models here at GOAutoPlus.com, a trusted resource for MINI dealers in Wisconsin.

Reports are showing that the MINI special edition will be the fastest MINI ever developed. Only 2,000 models of the vehicle will be produced, increasing the desire and interest in the special edition. Many improvements will be made to the MINI, showing its evolution from the 2006 version of the car.

Larger, more athletic features will show off the MINI’s aggressive stance and performance. The car will be marked with the standout ‘GP’ logo, and attention-getting body graphics will take the MINI even further than its predecessor. Built for adventurers rather than large families, the MINI only has two seats. The driver and his or her passenger will have the front seat to one invigorating ride.

As the fastest MINI ever designed, the MINI is expected to surpass its previous 211 horsepower capability. Although engine specifications have yet to be released, the automaker predicts that the MINI could deliver over 220 horsepower.

Athleticism will be one of the vehicle’s main talking points. Race-like suspension and fine-tuned handling will turn car enthusiasts’ heads. The MINI will be flexible and agile, and will handle with precision unseen in previous models. Other performance details will be unveiled closer to the MINI’s launch date.

We continue to offer a variety of vehicles that appeal to the needs and interests of our customers. GOAutoPlus.com is home to new and used MINI in Wisconsin. For updates on the MINI John Cooper Works GP Special Edition, keep up with GOAutoPlus.com today.
